The first census recording the houses was taken in 1911, so these were probably the first tenants of the house.

- Kate Bailey, wife, 37, none, born Birmingham.
- Kate R. Bailey, niece, 8, none, born Birmingham.
- Eve K. Bailey, adopted child, 7 months, none, born Northfield.

Herbert Bailey's brothers, William and Harold, lived at number 51 and 30 respectively at the time of the 1911 census. All three were sons of George Bailey (see here). By 1925 Herbert A. and Kate Bailey had moved to 30 Hawthorne Road.
