216 Northfield Road was used as the offices for Bournville Tenants, so no residents are recorded in its earlier years.
Groundsman's and carpenter's tools were kept at the rear of the premises, and there were both a groundsman and carpenter who lived on the Tenants estate to do much of the work. The groundsman's house was 26 Kingsley Road in the 1930s.
The secretaries of the Tenants Society also used the offices. One was Alfred Allen, who lived at 182 Northfield Road from about 1927, and in the 1930s Percy Roberts was another, who lived at 51 Kingsley Road.
