Notable Residents
Phyllis Nicklin was probably born at 59 Northfield Road on 9 May 1909, although her parents moved away in about 1911. Phyllis Nicklin lectured at the Univesity of Birmingham and took hundreds, if not thousands, of photographs around the Birmingham area in the 1950s and 1960s. A selection can be seen here. The postcard below was sent out by her parents at Christmas in about 1910.
